Wasuma PTA-Go Wildcats!

THE JOURNEY IS THE REWARD

Welcome!

Here it is. The Official 2011-2012 Wasuma Wildcat PTA BLOG!

Yes, we know you’re as excited as we are. Don’t contain it…join us…(join us…!)

Sorry. Didn’t mean to get all spooky, but we are having loads of fun up in here & we don’t want you to miss out! We have a TON (and I do mean that) of opportunities to get involved, meet some pretty amazing people (*ahem) and make a huge difference in the lives of some pretty cool kids (read: your own!)

So, what can you do? The sky is the limit. Do you love books? We have an awesome book fair each year that might just fit the bill. Do you dream of being a secret agent…protecting the world (or our campus) from crazed PTA moms or other menaces? Want to share your skills? Our Wasuma Watchdog Program would be a perfect fit if you’re a dad that meets this description. Do you just want come help pass out popscicles to kids? The Jog-A-Thon has your name written all over it.

We also have opportunities to help our teachers out in the classroom throughout the year. Research shows that children whose parents pitch in at school have a better attitude and higher academic achievement. Teachers who have classroom support do their job better. And parents who participate in the classroom are better equipped to support their child’s schoolwork. So even if your time is tight, squeezing in some school volunteer work can make all the difference in your family’s school success.

We are excited for the new year and the chance to meet you! Thank you for your time, dedication and volunteerism. We couldn’t do it without you!

Hi Anne, I have a concern… You never stop amazing me and I want to know if there is a support group for people like us, that are in awe of your awesomeness. Will we ever be able to return to reality? What is the best way to deal with those less awesome? I’m just worried that I am addicted to Anne Awesomeness. There is no such thing as too much of an awesome thing, right?

  5. I found this quote very fitting “Don’t fear failure so much that you refuse to try new things. The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have.” — Louis E. Boone
